Monday was cleaning day for me. I used to follow a schedule that I really liked. I would deep clean a certain area of the house each day and it kept the house pretty clean all the time. Well since I started working on TPT a lot more, I was slacking. So for now I am cleaning on Mondays and I will come up with a different schedule that works for me. Tuesdays are my new official work day so I need to accommodate that. I plan on working more than that throughout the week but Tuesday is my work-all-day-on-TPT-and-nothing-else day.
After cleaning, I had to go to the mall to get my ring inspected. I heard that we got a Sephora so OF COURSE I had to check that out too. Oh, and pig out on some Chick-fil-a.
Tuesday I worked really hard on TPT and started a project I have been putting off for a while. I forgot how much I enjoyed sitting on my computer and working.
In between naps we went to see Auntie Kac and say goodbye. I hate saying goodbye to her. Now that we are adults we see a lot less of each other. Also, seeing how much she loves Lacey makes me so sad that she isn’t closer
Wednesday my brother came over and I did a little prepping for a craft project that Lacey and her buddy Austin were going to complete.
Thursday was pretty eventful to say the least. Austin came over and Melissa and I got them to start painting. They made flags (an idea a borrowed from Andrea’s blog). It was ADORABLE.
Afterward, they went swimming which doubled as a mini bath to clean off the paint. It was so cute!
When they were done swimming we were watching the kiddos play with the sand table toys and play with the bubble machine when, in slow motion, Austin fell. We thought he was crying because he bonked his head. Then we saw blood. A LOT of blood. We couldn’t tell how bad it was because the blood kept gushing but we could tell that it was his lip. After Melissa nursed him to calm him down (momma’s milk does wonders), we saw that it was just split open… it was a gash. We both were freaking out not knowing what to do. Melissa’s pediatrician suggested going to the ER. I went for support. Luckily he did not need stitches! He sure did hate the treatment they had to do though. I felt so bad that it happened. I know neither of us could have prevented it and that it could happen at any time but I felt AWFUL that it happened at my house. Ahhhh poor thing.
He is all better though, just some bruising.
On the bright side, their projects came out super cute!
In the afternoon I went down to El Paso and went to dinner with my parents. Lacey ate the most amount of food I have ever seen. We were all shocked! It started with THREE bowls of grapes at my mom’s house. She couldn’t get enough! Then while at Applebees, she ate an entire grilled chicken breast and big bowl of yogurt and strawberries. She just kept going and going!
I am so excited for tonight. We have a neighborhood luau to go to at the golf course we live by. There is supposed to be a lot of fun things for kiddos and I am excited to meet some more neighbors!!
