Yesterday was as perfect as perfect can be.
Our day started off with some pumpkin spiced (and pumpkin shaped!) pancakes. As you can see, Lacey was pretty happy about it.
We did a little last minute shopping for the food items I would need that night.
Then headed back home for some jack-o-lantern pb&j sandwiches.
While this little one napped and got rested for her big night, I got stuff started for dinner. I wish I got pictures of all of the food!
We had my parents, brother, mother in law, friends, and Lacey’s best bud over for some dinner and snacks.
Lacey and her buddy Austin both love watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so this year they went as Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse. MY HEART COULD NOT CONTAIN ITSELF! My heart was seriously pounding with so much joy seeing these two together.
It was obviously a struggle getting Minnie to wear her ears the whole time.
They weren’t quite sure about the first couple of houses but oh my gosh, they caught on so quickly! They were walking right up to doors and trying to say trick or treat (“tick tick” in Lacey’s case). They would hold up their little baskets and wait for their candy. Austin was ready for the next house right away but Lacey would run to everyone so proud and try to show them her basket. They were the cutest little couple of kids.
I honestly never thought my heart could explode with this much joy. On some houses I had to hide my teary eyes.
Lacey got her very first piece of candy last night and it is safe to say she was a fan. She had two more after. HAHA! Of course her first candy had to be mommy’s favorite: Reeses!
Lacey loves her Uncle Tony so much! I think even more so after he kept giving her candy (all the laughing & crying face emojis!)
Chocolate face! The sugar kicked in and we couldn’t get this kid to sit still. We went outside and passed out candy which Lacey seemed to love just as much as getting candy herself! After handing candy to everyone she would yell “more!” (or “Mo!”). She was so proud of herself!
I’ve loved holidays all of my life and I truly couldn’t wait until I had a kid so I could get even more crazy about them. I never expected it to be THIS GOOD. To see the joy on my daughter’s face was the best feeling I have ever had. It made going to bed last night very bittersweet. You just don’t want the day to end!!!!
