Okay, so this isn’t something new for me. I often go long periods of not blogging but this time I have a good reason! I promise I had plans for posts. I even had about 6-7 jotted down in my handy dandy EC planner! I am hoping to still get to them. Sometime… The reason why I haven’t been posting is because I’M PREGNANT! I know this doesn’t make me disabled so I should be able to be posting. Let me tell you though, first trimester, setting up a classroom from scratch, and the first week of Kindergarten DO NOT MIX WELL AT ALLLLLL. I have been so tired and nauseous. As soon as I get home, literally all I can think about is sitting down and not moving. Which then turns into a two hour nap. I am not joking, that is what has happened every single night. And I still can manage getting to bed no later that 9 pm. Growing a baby is exhausting! Everyone keeps telling me to be strong and muster through it because when I hit my second trimester, I wont feel as sick and I will regain some energy. I wish that time would get here sooner. Those of you who have taught kinder know how horribly exhausting the first three weeks(ish) of school are (and that is not being preggo!). Take that and multiply it by ten and you have me. When I am feeling particularly frustrated that I have screamers and criers in my class along with about 10 then refuse to listen at all, I try to find my happy place. I know I will be holding the cutest baby in the world in March so I just have to be strong until then! I know it will get better and I wont be so frustrated soon. They are a good group of kiddos, I just think my hormones are getting the best of me. Once we get through these first rough weeks, I know they will blossom and things will get easier. I have a small class too so that is such a blessing! I know they will get the routines and learn to be a little more respectful Anyway, I just wanted to share our great news! I am almost to my second trimester and I have saltines and ginger ale hidden in my desk to help me until I get there! Hehe Happy teaching!
