Okay Y’all I am soooo sorry I haven’t posted a lot of education items lately.
I have been learning A LOT from two major webinars and it is given me such a boost I need for the new year. Like I have said before, I have some major goals for my business! I am so excited!!!!
So while I prioritize my list and work on items one by one, forgive me if I stick to mostly links ups and just showing off new products here and there.

This Tuesday I want to talk about CHORES! I have been connecting with A LOT of other work from home mommies and we all seem to have the same struggles: getting house work done.
You guys, it is really frustrating working from home. While I LOVE doing it, others just don’t get it. In their eyes, I stay home all day so I must have a ton of time to get everything done. Nope, wrong. I feel like our house is constantly messy and dirty. Any tiny bit of time I have where Lacey is sleeping, I am working. When she is awake, we are playing, learning, or getting “easy” errands done that Lacey can help with like cleaning her room or doing laundry. Before I know it, I am having to cook dinner then clean up THAT mess. By the time we put Lacey to bed I am EXHAUSTED.
It’s a constant struggle.
I sat down yesterday and mapped out what my “ideal week” would look like (thanks for the inspiration from Kelli Alaina Wise… y’all she is amazing).
If everything worked out perfectly, this is what my schedule would be. Of course my daughter runs the show. It all depends on her wake up and nap times. I always hope for the best though.
For the most part, though I am sticking to it and I got wayyyyy more done yesterday than I thought I would. I printed this out and have it posted next to me. I need CONSTANT reminders. Constant. My problem is that I know something needs to be done but I say “but let me just finish this first” then an hour later I am out of time.
I am literally setting timers for myself for that reason. I am SO BAD AT TIME MANAGEMENT!
As for my chore blocks, I only give myself 30 minutes for them and I SPEED CLEAN. Here is the chart I go off of:
I had found this on pinterest and decided to tweak it for myself. The idea is the same though, focus on one area of the house per day.
It was something I was doing last year before I started working at home full time. My house was ALWAYS spotless. I loved it. People could stop by last minute and I never had to speed clean and stress about what my house looked like. The only thing that was out all the time was toys and that is totally fine by me.
Remembering my clean house made me focus on getting these chores back into my routine. I definitely do not spend as much time as I used to on each area but they get clean. Now my only problem is making it a HABIT.
If I make it a habit, it will stick. Let’s hope for the best!
