So I come across this pin one day… Early Finishers Tub I think it is super cute and clever, I pin it, and I keep on pinning. You know how that is, right? Fast-forward to one September morning where one of my little early finishers come to me and says “I always have to read after I am done… can I do something else?” I got so caught up in helping my kiddos and just saying “when you are done, grab a book” that I didn’t realize how boring this can be a few times a day and every day especially to those that don’t know how to read yet. I immediately remembered my pin and jumped online and bought it from the amazing Crystal. BEST. PURCHASE. EVER.
After introducing, my kiddos were so excited to get to try them out. I warned them if I got messy work, I would make them start all over from the beginning. It took just one kiddo to give me a page of scribble scrabble just so he could go get a tub to show the class I meant business. Since they saw that I was not joking, they all take their time with their work. Y’all, the work they are turning in is amazing and I owe it to these tubs.
They obsess over getting to do the tub games that they take their time and do their very best so I can tell them “yes” when they ask if they can go to early finishers.
When I bought the tubs, I followed Crystal’s advice on organizing using plastic containers. It has worked very well. My kiddos know the big tubs are for two people and the little ones are for one. I did add pieces of fabric to each tub though. I learned this from a Montessori teacher… the kiddos use these and know their work or items cannot get off the cloth. That way nothing gets lost or mixed up. GENIOUS.
Of course I jumped over to Hobby Lobby and got themed fabric. And of course I will have Thanksgiving fabric, Christmas fabric, Valentines Day fabric, etc. for each box. Because of COURSE I bought the whole year’s pack from Crystal!
I bought one yard of each fabric and cut them in half. I kept one sheet a full yard because I needed the space but as you can see, the top piece of fabric is the half size and is perfect. I HIGHLY suggest you head over and buy this. It is worth every penny and MORE. You can find it HERE! No really, go buy it NOW. Crystal, thank you so much for making this! My classroom is heaven now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
