Am I the only crazy one that is sooooo excited for Fall????
Brisk days, sweaters, apple cider, coziness, my list could go on and on. That list happens to include a new blog design! Whhhhaaaaaat?!
I decided to make the investment and dive right in.
The lovely and talented Becca at Jumping Jax Designs will be starting my design in a couple of weeks and I am so eager to see how it turns out. So far she has been a dream to work with and puts up with my many annoying questions.
With that said, I think it’s time for a bit of a celebration!!!!!!!!
Today I have for you an awesome freebie and an even BETTER giveaway!
When I first started teaching, all of us kinder teachers were pretty obsessed with Avery sticky labels. Not for anything cool and hip at all, but to write the kiddos names on the first couple of weeks just so we learned who was who (I just giggled writing that… what were we thinking?!). Every day when the kiddos would go home, I would write all their names on a new sticker and the next morning it would get placed on their chest. Lets be honest, most times I would rewrite the names throughout the day because Mr. I Like To Pick At Stickers would pull his off over and over and the stickiness would be nonexistent.
One year we decided to buy the cheap plastic name tags from walmart and give it a go. Hey 12 for $.98 ain’t all that bad.

These are similar tags. The $.98 pack does not show up online. You can get the clips right next to the tags at your local Walmart! They were the cheapest we found. |
It was like the teaching gods opened up the heavens and shed us with their light. Okay, I am being dramatic but I am sure you all have had a moment where you were doing something the hard way and have to laugh at yourself for being so silly. That was me.
Anyhoo… We got even SMARTER the following year and color coded the name tags based on teachers. We would be out on the playground and see Mrs. I Like To Push People and be able to walk her to the correct teacher without asking “Who is your teacher, dear?” and getting the blank face of doom.
Each morning the kiddos put on their name tags and their ticket out at the end of the day was to take them off and put them back into the basket. It worked like a well oiled machine. I actually get happy fuzzy feelings just thinking about it.
When we had bus riders, they would actually get to take theirs home. They would just flip their tag over and it would be their bus pass! Now, my school didn’t require bus passes but these sure did help out our bus drivers to have the kiddos info. The blank stares timid kindergartners give you are brutal! Plus it helps the teachers taking the kiddos to the bus know exactly what bus they get on. Over three years of using this method, I only had one kiddo lose their tag. Pretty good if you ask me! Plus it helps to pretend that the kiddos HAVE TO have these in order to ride the bus. That will be our little secret.
So that was my long winded way to tell you I am giving you editable name tags for FREE! Annnnd they are already sized to fit in name tag holders. There are so many different variations in this packet that will definitely fit any of your needs. Whether you want to print in color, use lines, print in black and white, use bus tags, etc. Whatever the situation, they will work for you.
You can download these right HERE!!!!

I'm thinking about using the name tags as my hall passes this year! Last year I used a necklace and they would get wet… GROSS. lol.
Oh I could only imagine!!!! I totally recommend putting a piece of tape along the back of the plastic tag where the insert is. It will keep grossness out! Because you never know with kids these days lol
I love the name tags! Definitely need theses!
I am SO GLAD!!!!!
