Good morning friends! How was your holiday?! Wonderful I hope 🙂
Mine was by far the best Christmas I have ever had. When you become a parent it makes you not care so much about what you are getting for Christmas but only caring about how excited your child is! Watching Lacey get SO excited about her kitchen and immediately running over to it and start cooking was the best thing I had ever seen. It’s moments like those that make being a mom the best thing in the world.
Christmas Eve we opened our present of the Elf on a Shelf movie along with popcorn, candy, and hot Chocolate. I watched her the WHOLE time…. My heart was so unbelievably full at this moment. |
Poor Santa got some of my burnt cookies haha! |
Ugh, I can’t get this pic to turn around BUT this is when she ran to the kitchen and IMMEDIATELY started cooking for all of us. It was so darn cute. |
Us and my brother! Lacey thought it was pretty cool that we were all wearing the same PJs |
Anyway, it’s back to getting to work (for me at least!). As per usual, my newest monthly set is here!
Let’s take a look at what is inside:
I think this might be my favorite out of the bunch!! There are so many ways to use this product, it is like having three centers in one! There are puzzles that can all be mixed and kiddos have to match the syllable count to the word. There are also counting cards where students can use counters, clothes pins, etc. to count the syllables that they hear. Lastly, there is a worksheet where students can show off their syllable-counting-skills for accountability.
I like using fun counters like marshmallows!!! Themed mini erasers work too 🙂 |
These are so much fun to work with also! Using tallies, linking cubes, and 1:1 correspondence, your students will have fun matching the totals to build a snowman that will match the given number. There are so many possibilities with this set as well! Students can make their own sheet by cutting, pasting, and coloring their snowman, OR you can laminate them, add some velcro, and have an interactive center that can be used over and over. Black and white versions are available to be printer friendly!
This pack comes with over 200 addition and subtraction cards that can be used to practice these skills.
Again, marshmallows make such fun counters with this activity!!! If you think your students might sneak them as snacks you can also use cotton balls for a similar effect!
And of course for more accountability, these worksheets will be a fun way to show the mastering of these skills!!
No January set would be complete without a way to remember and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Your students can share ways they can help and also share the dreams they have.
I hope you love this set as much as I do!!! As always it will be half off for the next 48 hours! You can get all of this for only $4! Head over to my store to purchase now!
Of course with this being done, I have updated my Year-Long Bundle:
Each time I add a set this bundle increases by $6. So the sooner you get it, the better the savings! You can get this bundle HERE!
Enjoy and happy teaching!
