Thanks to the wonderful Miss Kindergarten we have this fun linky party today!!! I hope ya’ll join in on the fun Going into my fourth year of teaching, there are quite a few things I have learned on my journey. 1. You will know everything and more about your kiddos parents. Trust me… most of it is stuff you wish you didn’t know!!! 2. Never underestimate just how many boogers you will see and farts you will hear in a school year. You think you hit max capacity one year, the next year can be doubled!!! 3. Your creative mind NEVER…EVER…EVER….EVERRRR… STOPS! You get a break that lasts about a week (usually first week of summer ... Read More
First Year Teacher Survival Kit
My best friend is going to be a teacher! That means I got hard to work making her a First Year Teacher Survival Kit! I am so happy and excited for my best friend She got her first teaching job. Believe me when I say she got it in record time too! Why? Because she is awesome. She has been working at Disney World for a while now and even though she loves it, she also loved the thought of teaching. I am not even exaggerating when I say she researched jobs, interviewed, and got the job in a week. Crazy right?! Now, when it comes to teaching, we are almost on completely different ends of the spectrum. I teach Kinder and she teaches 10th grade ... Read More

My worst year teaching.
This year blog-wise has been a complete and utter failure. With that comes good reason. This year has been by far one of the most challenging and difficult years that I have ever experienced. I started off planning to blog at least once a week because I went into this year totally prepared thinking that this would be the best year yet. Though I went in with this, reality quickly set in and told me "yeah right, Ashley." This year I have literally been hit, kicked, bitten, anything you can think of. My teaching was constantly interrupted because things were thrown at me. If it wasn't that, then it was a chair being thrown across the room. I got no ... Read More
Kinder Flashcards & my first signs of stress!!!
Happy Monday y’all! I hope everyone had a great weekend – I did! I actually created a set of flashcards that I hope you can utilize. Every year I have had to find flash cards to send home for parents to work on with their children at home. Since I have been trying to make a lot of resources, I decided to make a flash card set of my own. It is comprised of the alphabet (upper and lowercase), high frequency words, numerals, written numbers, and colors. Basically it is a whole year of flashcards all in one spot. You can find this at my TPT store. Now on another note, I am in a bit of a freak-out mode. We just got word that we can’t go in ... Read More
FIRST FREEBIE!
It's here... I finally have a freebie for ya! I spent a long while creating an entire school year's worth of behavior charts and decided I wanted to sell them. I don't know how y'all do your behavior management at school but here is a run down of mine: I had purchased a really cute behavior chart at Really Good Stuff (my FAVORITE site): You can purchase this item here. I love it. The kids love seeing their names up there! When I give warnings and they still don't listen, I make them move their name to the next color. Having them move it really affirms their behavior and makes them rethink what they did. Last year I used a behavior form that I ... Read More
